When Bob Serette and his smokin’ sax, “Sally” take the stage, they bring with them a wealth of experience and the unmistakable sound of one of the true veterans of the Buffalo music scene.

Bob was one of the original members of Tony Costa’s band, “The Rock and Roll Revival”, which was the first successful oldies band in the area.  He then shared the stage with the late Stan Szelest, followed by a ten year gig at the Lake with one of the premier party bands of the 70’s and early 80’s, Arthur’s Court.

Bob then turned his attention to the 50’s and 60’s revival and played with various oldies bands in the area, including Big

Wheelie and Solid Grease.

Bob rounded out his musical career with a ten- year gig with one of the most successful blues bands in the area, Win Lose or Draw.  It was during his ten years with this group that he was twice awarded the Buffalo Music Award for Best Blues Saxophonist.

Currently, Bob is joining forces with baritone player Paul Vanacore and the Patti Parks Blues Band  Together, Bob and Paul bring a unique sound to the band and put a new spin on the blues.

Although he is influenced by the music of the 40’s and 50’s, Bob’s style and his sound are unique.  His “signature song” is “Harlem Nocturne”, but no matter what song or style he is playing, Bob makes the audience sit up and pay attention with a sound that is his and his alone.
